I'm Bo, and I'm happy to introduce to you my brand!
I`m a metalhead since I was 11. After spending some years on the mainstream surface, I`ve started to dig deep down into heavy metal history and discovered the forgotten bands of the 80`s. I`ve witnessed the comeback of traditional heavy metal, however, I quickly recognized that most of the bands don`t have available merch, so I started to make my own clothes DIY.
A few years ago, an idea came to my mind: why not to share these with other fans, as these artworks are deserved to be released, so I can contribute to the metal community and bands success? I knew that I needed to make it to a professional level, but I was in a lack of skills and knowledge.
So in the past years I`ve invested a lot of time and energy to bring this vision alive, I`ve learned how to screen print and educated myself in graphic design to be able to produce quality merch for fanatics like me and you!
This is how Steel City Shirts was born. It`s a screen-printing business specialised in 80`s inspired heavy metal merchandise and apparel designed and handprinted by me.
Steel City Shirts stands for keeping our 80`s heavy metal heritage alive by supporting the underrated heavy metal scene.
